Our goal for this unit was to code a micro-bit and then use it in some kind of real life application. we decided to make a fun game using the micro-bit as a timer and point system.

first we coded the microbit. First, i set up a timer that randomly selects a number between three and 20. once the number is selected is makes a high pitch sound as a way of saying “go”. When the timer hits zero it makes a low pitch sound signifying the end of the game and whoever holds it loses. it will then display another random number between one and four on the screen, this is how many points the loser gets. like golf, the more points the worse.

next we got to sewing. we decided to make a box to hold the micro-bit, battery pack and speaker. we sewed a zipper into on side for easy access to the parts inside for any adjustments that need to be made. we also cut a hole into the cube for the microbit to be seen from the outside.

we actually finished this project and have a final product to present. It came out very well, the box protects the micro bit and the screen and buttons are still visible. the project was very successful and we our proud of the final outcome.
