So far this year I have completed 3 of my maker quals: the CNC machine, silhouette machine, and the laser cutter. All three projects came out great. Each day, I had a plan on what to do. For example, today’s plan was to do as much of the soldering project as possible and write this recap. For the most part, I succeded. 

I’ve gotten a lot out of this year. I have learned to solder, use the laser cutter, CNC machines and what a silhouette machine is and how to use it. I have so far only learned new things but I feel like I’m pretty good at using them. Soldering is definitely the hardest of the 5 maker quals. I haven’t screwed anything up much yet this year but it probably won’t be long until I do.

I have been slowly buying parts to build my PC, so when I have everything purchased it will be my next project

I have done a lot of exploring this year, everything I’ve done is new to me so far and it’s been a lot of fun to try these new things like soldering and the CNC machines

Today a finished both my sticker and CNC machine maker quals. The CNC is still cutting when I type this. The silhouette was great, exactly like I wanted it to be

Today, I learned how to use the cameo machine and got my design for the CNC machine ready to print.

Today, I designed my print for the silhouette cameo project. I also did a little research for computer parts to help for a future 20-time project.

Today I finished my first project for the Maker Quals. I completed a small laser cut project that took a little trial and error but came out great in the end

Today we set up our sketch books and began planning projects for the maker quals.
